Top Tips for Creating Unique Glamping Experiences

It’s not surprising that in the UK we’ve seen a massive increase in the number of bookings glamping sites are experiencing. This has, in part, come from the government’s decision to relax the planning laws in England and Wales, giving landowners the chance to set up campsites to generate some revenue.

The massive popularity of these sites, spurred by the ongoing international travel restrictions, has led to these landowners branching out to glamping structures.

But now begs the question, how do these new sites stand themselves out from the rest? It should be obvious that they need to offer a unique glamping experience for guests and, in case you were wondering how, we’ve got a few top tips we thought we should share.

Buy Well-Crafted Glamping Pods

We are currently living in an experience culture; consumers and holiday goers want the best experience, the best service, rather than the cheapest option. Sure, a glamping holiday with a low cost per night might attract some, but glamping accommodation that’s been well designed and plays its part in the guest experience will always stand out through the crowd.

Take the Rufus Roost, an Enchanted Creations design. The treehouse surrounded by forestry creates a mystical feeling for guests. Invest in high-quality glamping accommodation and you’ll have guests wanting to book throughout the whole year, as well as being able to charge at a higher price point per night.

Integrate your Accommodation with your Land

Not only does the Rufus Roost Treehouse look amazing, but the location around it plays just as big a part in the whole experience. Treehouse accommodation is a sure way to make your site stand out.

However, not everyone will have large forests to build their site onto, but this doesn’t mean you should count yourself out. To create a unique glamping experience, we always recommend you choose glamping pods that integrate with your land.

Take a look around your land and see what it can offer. Does your land overlook breathtaking views? Is there a small stretch of water you can build your glamping pods around? The beauty of your land should be reflected in your accommodation.

Take a look at Kabina, its green roof and rolling form was inspired by open spaces of land and is built to blend in with landscapes. Made from reclaimed timber or cedar, it can become a cosy haven for guests to immerse themselves in.

Offer Your Guests Something Extra

This can range from all sorts of things. Offering your guests a breakfast hamper is something that's very common but an effective added ‘extra’ that goes a long way.

However, you can go above and beyond to really ‘wow’ your guests. Hot tubs built into the glamping pods, pizza ovens and BBQs to name a few. For the larger sites, using the shell of a glamping pod and turning it into a treatment room or sauna can be a massive draw.

There are many tips to turn a glamping site into a successful staycation destination and we hope that these three will get you on your way to creating something special.
